These vacancies are open to both male and female candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification

General Duty (GD):

• A Graduate degree with 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Must have studied Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to class 12 (10+2 level).
• Graduation after Diploma is accepted only if the diploma includes Physics and Math.

Technical Branch (Engineering/Electronics):

• Engineering degree with 60% marks in any of the following disciplines:
  • Mechanical
  • Marine
  • Automotive
  • Mechatronics
  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Instrumentation
  • Telecommunication
  • Power Engineering
  • Power Electronics
• AMIE candidates are also eligible.
• Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level are mandatory.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years

Selection Process

1. Stage I – CGCAT (Preliminary Selection)
   • Computer Based Examination
   • Subjects: English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, Military Aptitude
   • Duration: 2 Hours
   • Negative Marking: Yes (1/4th for each wrong answer)
2. Stage II – Final Selection
   • Psychological Test
   • Group Task
   • Personal Interview
3. Stage III – Document Verification and Initial Medicals
4. Stage IV – Final Medical at INS Chilka (Only for shortlisted candidates)

Final merit list will be prepared based on performance in all stages.
